Miss

What is the age range for Miss Bay County?

Miss Bay County is open to young women who will be at least 17 years of age as of December 31, 2018 and in their senior year of high school in the 2017/2018 school year, and no older than 24 years of age as of December 31, 2018. Scroll down for the Outstanding Teen program age requirements. 

What is a closed pageant?

Miss Bay County is a closed pageant, meaning that the young woman representing Bay County must be a part of this community by living or working in Bay County, or by attending an area university (Delta or SVSU) full time. The Outstanding Teen program is open, scroll down for the Teen FAQs.

Is there a cost to compete?

There is no entrance fee for the Miss Bay County pageant, but the contestants are asked to help raise at least $100 for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The Bay County Scholarship Program offers advice on helping reach that goal. We would never want a contestant to refrain from competing due to any issue raising funds. Do I have to compete for Miss Michigan?

Yes, one of the responsibilities of Miss Bay County is to represent our community at the state competition in June of 2018.

What are the categories for the competition?

The Miss Bay County contestants compete in interview, talent, lifestyle & fitness in swimsuit, evening wear, and on-stage question. Learn more about the phases of the competition.

Teen

What is the age range for Outstanding Teen?

Miss Bay County’s Outstanding Teen is open to girls between 13 years of age and 17 years of age (as of July 2018). If the contestant is 17 they must not be a senior in high school as of the 2017/2018 school year, as this would qualify them as a Miss contestant.

Is there a cost to compete?

Yes. The Miss Bay County’s Outstanding Teen pageant is a fundraiser for the Miss Bay County Scholarship program. The cost to enter is $75.

What are the categories for the competition?

The Outstanding Teen contestants compete in interview, talent, active wear, and evening wear and onstage question.

 

General

Who runs the Miss Bay County Scholarship Program?

The Miss Bay County Scholarship Program is run by an Executive Director (ED) and a Board of Directors. The current ED is Linda Bilhimer.

Is there a program for younger girls?

Unfortunately at this time we do not offer a Princess, Little Miss or Junior pageant.
