Miss
What is the age range for Miss Bay County?
For the competition taking place in August 2021, a Miss contestant must be at least 18 and a high school graduate or equivalent as of July 31, 2022, and no older than 25 as of December 31, 2022. Scroll down for the Outstanding Teen age requirements.
What is a closed pageant?
Miss Bay County is a closed pageant, meaning that the young woman representing Bay County must be a part of this community by living or working in Bay County, or by attending Delta College full time. The Outstanding Teen is open, scroll down for more information.
Is there a cost to compete?
There is no entrance fee for the Miss Bay County pageant, but the contestants are asked to help raise at least $100 for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The Bay County Scholarship Program offers advice on helping reach that goal. We would never want a contestant to refrain from competing due to any issue raising funds. Do I have to compete for Miss Michigan?
Yes, one of the responsibilities of Miss Bay County is to represent our community at the state competition.
What are the categories for the competition?
Contestants will compete in a 10-minute private interview with the panel of judges. On-stage they will compete in talent, evening wear and impact statement, and on-stage question.
Teen
What is the age range for Outstanding Teen?
Miss Bay County’s Outstanding Teen is open to girls at least 13 as of July 31, 2022 and no older than 17 as of July 31, 2022.
Is there a cost to compete?
Yes. The Miss Bay County’s Outstanding Teen pageant is a fundraiser for the Miss Bay County scholarship program. The cost to enter is $75.
What are the categories for the competition?
The Outstanding Teen contestants compete in interview, talent, active wear, and evening wear and on-stage question.

Who runs the Miss Bay County Scholarship Program?
The Miss Bay County Scholarship Program is run by an Executive Director (ED) and a Board of Directors. The current ED is Linda Bilhimer.
