Jenae Clayre Lodewyk was crowned Miss Bay County 2023 on August 6, 2023. She sang to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” from The Wizard of Oz. Her community service initiative is Women in the Workplace. She is the 60th Miss Bay County.
Jenae is a lifelong resident of Bay City and graduated from John Glenn High School in 2018. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wayne State University and currently works for the Detroit Pistons as the Player and Family Engagement Coordinator.
On June 15, 2024, Jenae was crowned Miss Michigan 2024. Jenae is the first reigning Miss Bay County to earn the title of Miss Michigan. She performed a HerStory for talent about her experience working in a male-dominated industry. During the preliminary competition, Jenae won the On-Stage Question award. She was also recognized with Miss Congeniality, the Legacy Award, and the Pamela Eldred Community Health Award. In total, Jenae earned $11,850 in scholarships during Miss Michigan.
Jenae will go on to compete for Miss America in 2025.
