After the wonderful return home we went straight into an amazing Thanksgiving. It was so nice to eat a truly home cooked meal. And then the real extravaganza began, black Friday shopping! I hadn’t shopped in 3-months and boy was I ready. BUT I had to be undercover, no one else but Linda knew I was back yet and we were still keeping the surprise for Friday night at Santa’s arrival. And sure enough in the midst of the evening, in a line at bath & body works, we saw Jill, mom of my Junior Miss. I ducked and covered and made it out of there as soon as I could. After the close call we were still able to keep it a secret. After all of my little sisters finished their performance the mc’s directed them to a box on stage painting a story of how it had come for them today and as there attention was distracted I guested through the back door of the stage. It was amazing, and so incredible to be bombarded with all of their hugs and screams so quickly. We were able to welcome Santa and light the tree in Bay City together. I was so glad to be able to be a part of that night with them.
My schedule has been extremely jammed packed since then. I was able to be a part of Dennis Gwizdala’s toys for tots Christmas concert, which was fantastic. He is an amazing musician! I also was welcomed back to a wonderful December After Hours at Citizens Bank in Bay City with two former Miss Bay County’s, Cristy and Amy!
Linda, Pam, Stacey, my mom, and I were able to go meet with Heidi to start the dress selection process. I can’t believe it’s only 6 months until Miss Michigan already!! There’s so much to do, and I’m looking forward to all thats ahead in the next few weeks. I have so much in mind and it feels so great to be able to kick-off all of these ideas and plans I have been working on the last few months!
Ready, set, go!
